iPhone 7 Latest News, Release Date & Update: iPhone 6/6S Issues Spoiling September 7 Coming Out Party?

Apple is hoping for the best when the iPhone 7 officially comes out but it looks like its set revelation date will be marred by something tied up to a previous model – the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus.

Touchscreen issues mounting?

According to a post, there is a growing issue tied up with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and its touch screens. The device/s are reportedly suffering from touchscreen crashes plus a flickering gray bar appearing at the top portion of the phone’s screen.

The problem is allegedly caused by the touchscreen controller chips on the logic board of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the ones responsible for the touch interface on the device’s screen. Presumptively, the chips are being leveraged away from the board when the device is ‘flexed’.

Apparently, this issue is nothing new and was actually corrected on the iPhone 6s/ 6s Plus. Apple apparently moved the chips to a different location.

Stealing the thunder of the iPhone 7

There were no actual numbers on the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus owners, though it casts a dark light on the upcoming release of the iPhone 7/ 7 Plus. The upcoming flagship has already been taking its share of jabs for the minimal changes and the last thing that Apple would want is to divert the attention to a problem from a past phone. The consolation is that it could be an isolated case with no numbers to show.

The iPhone 7 will launch as scheduled but the iPhone 6/ 6 Plus issue could turn up in searches for folks looking to get the latest word on Apple’s upcoming flagship. Just the same, Apple is expectedly focusing on the Sept. 7 launch of the iPhone 7/ 7Plus and likely tackle the celebrated iPhone 6/6 Plus issue thereafter. Though there is no timetable, here is hoping that the problem is an isolated problem and something that does not get out of hand.
