'The Last Of Us 2' Latest News & Update: Voice Actress Ashley Johnson Talks About Working For TLOU 2, Sequel Underway?

Will "The Last Of Us 2" be as haunting, tragic and heart-tugging as its predecessor? Fans are excited to know, but before getting too excited, one question remains unanswered: Will there be "The Last Of Us 2?"
If we try to answer the question by basing on how the first TLOU ended, there is a big chance of having "The Last Of Us 2." The ending, though not really considered as a cliffhanger, still has an ambiguity that makes the players yearn for more.

The voice talent behind Ellie, Ashley Johnson, had already expressed her willingness to be part of "The Last Of Us 2." Of course, take here statement as a grain of salt because first, there is no official announcement for "The Last Of Us 2." Secondly, there's not an assurance that Joel and Ellie will still be part of the sequel because the makers of TLOU might venture with new characters.

Although the creation and release of "The Last Of Us 2" is not a far cry from reality, there are mixed thoughts among the fans. The contrasting thoughts pop out when it comes to bringing Joel and Ellie back to the sequel. If they do come back, they are expected to exist in a bleak and sodden world, which some fans think would bring the game down.

Fans who want to see a revamp or a brighter game in "The Last Of Us 2" are rooting for new characters. Understandably, the ending of Ellie and Joel, though ambiguous by nature, can be easily absorbed by the fans without much resistance. Resurrecting the two main characters into "The Last Of Us 2" will only make the game more complex.

At the end of the day, it is still up to Naughty Dog and the team behind TLOU to seal the deal and polish the details for "The Last Of Us 2." Stay tuned to GamenGuide to catch the latest news and updates for TLOU 2.
