Blizzard Expands Game Streaming to Facebook Including ‘Overwatch’

Game developer Blizzard Entertainment is expanding its presence in social media sites after it recently launched "Blizzard Streaming" on Facebook. Blizzard games including "Overwatch" will be included in the stream wherein fans can play their game, but if they click on the camera button found on the right corner of the screen, their gameplay will automatically go live on Facebook.

Take note that this feature is only available to Blizzard Client who currently has a good standing. Fans who will update the Blizzard Client will automatically notice the "Blizzard Streaming" feature on their account. If you have been playing "Overwatch" lately, you can stream your game, live on the Facebook channel.

Of course, players will need to verify their Facebook accounts and allow Facebook to access their profile in order to start streaming. "Blizzard Streaming" can be done in a single click.

Currently, the feature is only available on Windows PC users and will later apply for Mac users. The feature will also benefit Amazon owned-Twitch as their sales on Blizzard products will probably increase due to the new feature. "Overwatch" as a special mention put the company at a convenient spot in the videogame market after it ranked number six among the most streamed videos.

According to the Polygon, Blizzard and Facebook's initiative to bring the streaming of videos online has allowed more players to enjoy and get challenged by the game. Also, Facebook will now freely stream games on PC via the agreement for every single gamer online to watch.

Some of the most prominent Blizzard games that are now available for streaming include "Overwatch," "World of Warcraft," "Hearthstone," "Heroes of the Storm," "StarCraft 2" and "Diablo 3."
