iMac 2016 Release Date, News & Update: Upcoming Device Will Feature Kaby Lake Processor, AMD's Polaris Graphics Card & Virtual Reality Support?

There are many rumors about the iMac 2016 spreading through the Internet. Some say that the latest Apple Desktop might be released by the end of the year. There are also reports that say that the giant tech company Apple will follow the same trend of release date of the iMac's predecessors and it will be on October.

There are also rumors that the upcoming iMac will be called iMac Pro 2016 and it will feature the latest Intel's Kaby Lake chipset. If the rumors were true that the iMac 2016 will have the Kaby Lake chipset, then the new iMac will feature the USB 3.1 along with Thunderbolt 3 port and DisplayPort 1.2. It is expected that the addition of new ports will provide an overall performance boost to the device.

According to Apple World Today, the iMac 2016 will only have the latest Intel's Kaby Lake processor if it will be available on time. If not, then the iMac 2016 will only feature the current Intel's Sky Lake processor. The iMac 2016 will also include AMD's Polaris graphics card, as stated by CIO. Having the AMD's Polaris graphics card in the iMac 2016 will not only give excellent graphics to the users, but also a high resolution gaming experience.

According to TechRadar, Virtual Reality is getting very popular on both PC and console, and because Apple does not want its loyal customers to feel like they are being left behind, there is a big possibility that Apple will find a way to feature a VR support in iMac 2016. But, Mac users will be looking for plenty of power to support exciting new VR devices such as the Oculus Rift.

As of now, Apple still did not have any official announcements for the upcoming iMac 2016. But, the fans strongly believe that the device will be launched this year. For more news and updates for the iMac 2016, always stay tuned to GameNGuide.
