Sega and Gearbox Software has released a new trailer for its highly anticipated video game Alien: Colonial Marines. The video showcases the game's survival mode entitled "Survivor Mode," which pits four marines against waves of the nasty alien xenomorphs.
Survivor Mode is the third in a number of competitive modes that Gearbox has shown off including the previously announced escape mode and a competitive death match.
President of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford has called the game "the culmination of a life-time of inspiration from the films." The new trailer showcases scenes that could have come right from one of the films and asks gamers to fight the fear.
The new mode might be one of the best versions of survival or horde mode executed in video games and looks like it will definitely have surefire scares as well. While the game's escape mode also looks like it will have some great action and scares, the Survivor mode seems to allow for gamers to use strategy and tactics rather than run and gun maneuvers.
Alien: Colonial Marines will include the Facehugger, Chestburster, and "Drone" alien from Alien, the "Warrior" and the "Queen" aliens from Aliens, as well as the "Runner" alien from Alien 3.

Aliens: Colonial Marines will release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 12, 2013. Gearbox has announced that a Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines is also in the works, but have not released any other details.
