GoPro Hero 5 Release Date, News & Update: Cloud Service ‘GoPro Plus’ May Be Included! Specs, Features & Price Revealed

When the GoPro Hero 5 user manual was leaked, it revealed some amazing additions including voice command that would make the device use a breeze. As per rumors doing rounds on the Internet, the GoPro Hero 5 may have compatibility features with the Karma, GoPro's first drone.

It is expected that release of both GoPro Hero 5 and the drone will be done simultaneously. The devices may be launched in December when sales are high because of Christmas. If that is the case, then an announcement about the GoPro Hero 5 release date and price may be done in October or November. The price of the device may be set between $400-$500.

The new voice command of GoPro Hero 5 could have 9-10 different voice controls such as GoPro Turn On, GoPro Turn Off, GoPro Start Video, GoPro HiLight, GoPro Stop Video, GoPro Take Photo, GoPro Shoot Burst, GoPro Start Time Lapse and GoPro Stop Time Lapse. Rumors suggest that the "GoPro Hero 5" may be waterproof but only up to a certain depth.

If at all the leaked user manual is legitimate, a cloud service, GoPro Plus may also be included with the device. This will allow users to upload video to the cloud, reports Christian Post. As per ValueWalk, GoPro Hero 5 will support HDMI, max 64GB microSD cards, USB Type-C ports and will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It will weight approx 118g with battery and 90g without the battery.

People who simply can't wait more for the GoPro Hero 5, may try out other alternatives such as The Sony HDR-AS20/B, The Polaroid XS100 HD or the FullTime Outdoors Adventure Camera. The wait for the GoPro Hero 5 is still at an all-time high with more leaks being revealed almost every other day. Stay tuned for more updates on GoPro Hero 5 at Gamenguide.
