Xbox One S Latest News & Update: Free $50 Gift Card & Extra Free Game for 1TB Purchases

It's only September, but it definitely feels like Christmas already, thanks to Microsoft's sweet deals on the new Xbox One S. Did we mention why we love the new Xbox One S? Here's why we think you should get one for Christmas. In the meantime, here's what Microsoft has to offer for those who are interested in the 1TB version of the console.

Gamespot reports that those who purchase the Xbox One S via the Microsoft Store will get a $50 gift card and a free game absolutely free. The freebies will pop up when you checkout your brand new console, and you'll get to choose between Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs" (2014), "The Crew" (2014), "Just Dance 2016," (2015) and "Just Dance: Disney Party 2" (2015).

These freebies will be available for those who purchase other Xbox One S bundles, including the $300 "Halo Collection" bundle that comes with "Halo 5: Guardians" and "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" and the 500 GB console, as well as the $350 bundle that comes with "Madden" and "NFL 17," with the 1TB version of the console. This particular bundle will also give the buyer a free one-month EA Access membership, as well as a $50 eBay gift card.

For those who are looking to purchase the Xbox One S anytime soon, you can get a $10 discount on an Xbox One controller when you buy the 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB version of the console. But you must hurry, as this offer ends on October 31.

Meanwhile, Gamerant reports that those who purchase the Xbox One S in 2TB will get an extra controller along with a year-long Live Gold membership. There's also the Xbox One S in 1TB with free "Madden," "NFL 17," and "Witcher 3" and "Doom" bonuses.

The Xbox One S features a 33% smaller SoC that consumes less power than the original console, which means there's a lot more energy conserved, making it very efficient for those who are playing for extended periods of time.
