NBA Rumors 2016: $16.7M for Gordon Hayward Not Enough? Utah Jazz’s Forward Moving To Boston Celtics Via Trade?

Gordon Hayward is a potential All-Star of NBA Utah Jazz and considered to be the team's best player. He is playing forward for the team with no apparent weaknesses. He has $16.7 million to bag for the 2017-18 season. That's a hefty amount, but rumors said the basketball star is set to decline it. Why?

Kent Bazemore, Evan Turner and Allen Crabbe are all skillful NBA players but, as Bleacher Report said, Gordon Hayward is "three wings better" than them. And yet the three are set to receive higher paychecks than the 26 year old star. In that same season, Kent Bazemore is up for $16.9 million, Allen Crabbe at $19.3 million, and Evan Turner at $17.1 million.

Given that scenario, Gordon Hayward might just decline the offer and move into becoming a free agent. Or could even move into another NBA team.

According to iSports Times, Gordon Hayward wants to reunite with his Butler coach Brad Stevens. Does that mean that the small forward is moving to Boston Celtics? Some basketball analysts believed that Hayward will soon exercise his player option, and that means the Celtics might just be the next big thing.

Some rumors even suggest that Coach Stevens is thinking of getting Gordon Hayward via trade. But of course, it is not all up to Boston Celtics. Utah Jazz has to agree with the trade. And why would they give up one of their best players? Unless the deal is irresistible, of course. Analysts say that Gordon Hayward moving to Boston Celtics may cost the team more than they want to spend.

Gordon Hayward is not the only player that the Utah Jazz is thinking about this whole NBA trade game. Rudy Gobert will be an unrestricted free agent in 2017, Derrick Favors will be unrestricted by 2018, and Dante Exum and Rodney Hood are both unrestricted in 2018.
