"Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 will have to make up for the sadness and shock that the viewers felt when Poussey Washington died. Fans were in a frenzy and lashed out at the internet for the unjust killing of Poussey. The viewers would have wanted a proper memorial for Poussey or simply put, a graceful exit for a fan-favorite.
The writers of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 wants to take away the spotlight from Poussey and let the fans move on by focusing on another character. "Orange Is The New Black" season 5 might put the spotlight on Erica Jones, more popularly known as Yoga. Although Yoga is not officially part of the main cast, her character has been getting a lot of exposure which might be the reason for her shining moment on Season 5.
Erica Jones is a character with a backstory that's full of potential. Not much has been revealed about Yoga in the past four seasons of OITNB. The viewers know that she's in prison for shooting a child. A back story for Yoga in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5, would show Angie struggling with her alcoholic family and tending her marijuana farm. The reason for Yoga's stay behind bars is quite sad, since she accidentally killed a child thinking that it was a deer eating her marijuana.
Another character that deserves to have a back story is Angie Rice also known as the Meth Head. For the past episodes, Angie seemed to add humor to the scenes - remember her "I'm Edward Pizza-hands" antics? The viewers only know little about Angie and even Julie Lake, the actress portraying her, wants a back story for Angie. Hopefully, we can see an Angie back story in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5.
