'Persona 5' Release Date, News & Updates: Final Two Sections Added; Know More About Persona Fusion, Mementos Dungeon

The latest news on "Persona 5" revealed that the last two sections have been added. Titled "Persona Fusion" and "Mementos Dungeon," the two will showcase more gameplay features and mission settings.

Gematsu explained that aside from the main quests in "Persona 5," players can get free quests called Missions. The huge Mementos Dungeon is the setting for the Missions. "Persona 5" players will notice that the mysterious dungeon changes appearance every time they visit. There is actually no end to the depth of Mementos, the Palace of the general public. Morgana, however, can change into a bus known as the Morgana Car that players can use it to explore the vast Mementos Dungeon.

As for Persona Fusion in "Persona 5," players can combine different Personas to create new ones. Persona Fusion is a ceremony where gamers execute the old self of a Persona, so that a new self can be created. The new self in "Persona 5" will be stronger than the one before it. Aside from fusion, "Persona 5" players can do other activities inside the Velvet Room. They can complete special training to gain a skill for their Persona that can overcome their own weakness.

iTechPost reported that Atlus recently showcased new gameplay details and images for "Persona 5." Fans particularly noticed the addition of dungeons, Persona Fusion and torture techniques. Persona Fusion can be executed using Guillotine in the "Persona 5" Velvet Room. There are three Persona Fusions in the game, namely Two-Body Guillotine, Search Guillotine and Group Guillotine, with the Two-body Guillotine as the standard "Persona 5". Group Guillotine lets players fuse more than three Persona, while Search Guillotine lets players summon a past fusion at a certain price.

The three new torture techniques in "Persona 5" include Hanging, Solitary Send-Off and Electric Chair. The additional features seem to be well-received by "Persona 5" fans as pre-order sales has reportedly increased recently. "Persona 5" is set to launch on Sept. 15, 2016 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game will become available in North America and Europe on Feb. 14, 2017.
