“The Sims 4” has followed a certain practice of releasing timely DLC packs through the years and now gamers are eager to see if there is a major one coming before 2016 comes to an end.
“The Sims 4” had the “Get to Work” expansion in 2014 and then “Get Together” last year. So what will the players “GET” this 2016?
Take note that smaller DLCs have come out as of to date though nothing major that “The Sims 4” can really brag about. There were a couple of rumored expansions in the works such as “City Life” and that wished for “Supernatural” follow up that “The Sims 3” had to offer, timely for the coming Halloween season as tackled in a separate post.
Intangibles up for next expansion
With EA and Maxis mum on the matter, folks are anticipating some additions in the form of pets or even seasons that could easily integrate with the famed life-simulation game. But most of those could likely be integrated into the rumored “City Life” expansion which brings us back to the question on when it could possibly come out.
As most know, “The Sims 4” didn’t do exactly quite well in terms of sales and is one reason blamed for the unknown state of” The Sims 5”. DLCs are the ones pegged to try and cover up for that unfortunate development though it will only be limited to the PC.
As most know by now, there is no game console version in the works and will likely never happen. Again, all of that is attributed to poor sales.
The uncertainty in the air is likely because EA and Maxis are wondering if it would be feasible to even consider working on improving “The Sims 4” or whatever there is left to save it from its free-fall. And the only way to do that is through DLCs or expansions, something fans are still obviously waiting on.
