‘Pokemon Go’ Gen 2 Latest News & Update: Is Niantic Ready To Pass Torch To ‘Super Mario Run’?

“Pokemon Go” may be suffering from a decline in the number of active players though Niantic hopes to check that skid with the coming “Pokemon Go” Gen 2 update. There are a lot of improvements included though there is no assurance that it will be enough to draw back the fans.

A lot of the new features were spotted via Niantic’s new terms of service, something covered in a previous post. That included the Buddy and Trading system that has long been out in the rumor mill.

That and the fact that most players are hoping for better tracking and game stabilization could help appease “Pokemon Go” players though more trouble could be ahead if “Super Mario Run” turns out to be a hit.

Passing the phenomenon to Nintendo?

“Super Mario Run” was one of the surprise announcements during the iPhone 7 revelation last Sept. 7. “Pokemon Go” also took some of the limelight when it was announced to be something set for integration with the Apple Watch 2.

With the hype supporting it, it will be interesting if “Super Mario Run” will be good as advertised. All that will be known before 2016 comes to a close as revealed by Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto.

There is no question that the move to introduce “Super Mario” into smartphones is a big move. In fact, word of its jump has already reaped dividends with the game developer, Fortune reported.

From being a popular game title on the Nintendo game console, the jump will certainly be interesting. It was a brilliant collaboration between Apple and Nintendo though it would be wise to see first how the game impact mobile phone owners and gamers.

The answer to that comes in a couple of months so wait for it! Stay tuned to Game & Guide for more "Pokemon GO' and "Super Mario Run" news.
