"Pokemon Go" Buddy System is now live. It was released along with the general update to improve the gameplay. One of the fixes included in the new patch is about the egg hatching issue. Players complained that hatching is not visible on the screen but it it actually taking place and Niantic solved this already.

The "Pokemon Go" Buddy System update was announced by Niantic Labs on Sept. 10. Since this is a new feature players are genuinely excited to download the patch and experience at once, how it is to team up with their favorite Pokemon.

But just like with other game systems, the "Pokémon Go" buddy feature could be hard to use at first. And the fact that it is newly introduced, not much information about it is readily available. So, in order to make sure that you are doing the right thing, check out some important details below:

How "Pokemon Go" Buddy System Work

The buddy system let players choose their own Pokémon that will be with them the whole time. They will be outside of their Pokeball to follow the player around.

Walking with a "Pokemon Go" buddy is rewarding because it is one way to earn candies. As the two of you walk around and reached a particular distance, you will get candies which will help hasten evolution of some wild monsters.

How to Activate the Buddy System Update

Simply tap on your profile located at the bottom left corner of your screen then look and tap the three little bars that appear. Tap the "buddy" button and a list of Pokemon will open up so you can choose your buddy.

How to Know if you have Successfully Installed your Pokemon Buddy

Once you have selected a Pokemon from the list, it should appear right beside your avatar or profile. You PokeBud will also start gathering candies as you start to walk so check your inventory to see if extra candies are coming in. Meanwhile, players can grab their new "Pokemon Go" buddy via Google Play or Apple’s iTunes Store.
