‘Pokemon GO’ Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Play Even With Jailbreaked & Rooted Devices! Is Magisk Safe?

Niantic has updated "Pokemon GO" recently with its latest version 0.37.0 for Android and 1.7.0 on iOS devices. Many players liked the update because of its new buddy system feature that allows players to easily collect candies while walking.

However, some of the players that have Jailbreak and Rooted devices are very disappointed because the new update makes "Pokemon GO" unavailable to those kinds of devices. But, can you still play "Pokemon GO" on your old device? Luckily, some people found a way to play.

Niantic has done this update to get rid of the "Pokemon GO" players who are using third party applications, cheats or hacks that are only available if your device is Jailbreak or Rooted. But, according to a report from Mobile & Apps, players that have their devices rooted can use Magisk. The use of Magisk is to mask your android device so that the "Pokemon GO" application will not detect that your device is rooted.

To use Magisk, "Pokemon GO" players will need to download its latest version here. After downloading, you need to transfer the file into the root directory of your device or the Internal Storage. Then Boot the device to TWRP recovery mode, and simply click the button install and look for the file that was downloaded earlier. Go to Swipe to Confirm Flash; this process might drain the battery of your device, so it is much better if you fully charge your device before doing this process. Last step is to Reboot the system after it is all done.

You can also see the official thread of XDA to know more about Magisk. Players should be more extra careful this time in using some third party applications in "Pokemon GO" because Niantic is seriously banning players that are getting caught.
