Despite the lack of concrete details about its development and release date, the upcoming sequel of the popular western video game, "Red Dead Redemption," has been a subject of several rumors and speculations for quite some time. Previous reports suggested that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was going to be announced at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3; however, that didn't happen. New reports suggest that the game might come out after the arrival of Sony and Microsoft's next generation gaming consoles.

Although game developer and publisher Rockstar Games as well as its parent company Take-Two Interactive have continued to stay mum with regard to their plans about "Red Dead Redemption 2," rumors and speculations are rampant that the game developer will wait for the new consoles to arrive.

According to reports, fans will have to wait for one more year before Rockstar Games announces the "Red Dead Redemption 2." There are speculations saying that the highly anticipated game will not come out until 2018 or 2019.
