‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ Release Date, News & Update: More New Creatures; Z-Moves, Customizations Coming [Watch Trailer]

A new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" trailer was recently released by The Pokemon Company, which showcases some of the upcoming features and version-exclusive Pokemon. The video provides an initial glimpse to the new creatures, Z-Moves and customization options for players when the game arrives on Nov. 18, 2016.

IGN revealed that the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" video presented the full suite of trainer customization options. Pikachu and Eevee's Z-Moves were also shown in the video. The Pokemon Refresh feature in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" was shown in the trailer, which will let trainers take care of and clean their Pokemon after each battle. The new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" feature will also help Pokemon recover from conditions like paralysis.

Nintendo.com stated that there will be new version-exclusive creatures appearing in "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Included are Passimian, Oranguru and Lycanroc in Midday and Midnight Forms. Passimian is a fighting-type Pokemon that throws berries at enemies. The Pokemon tends to live in a large group of other Passimians, who follow a single leader. Passimian has the Receiver Ability and will only be available in "Pokemon Sun." Oranguru is a normal/psychic-type Pokemon that lives in the Alolan forests. Oranguru can learn the Instruct move and will only appear in "Pokemon Moon."

In "Pokemon Sun and Moon," Rockruff can evolve into either Lycanroc in Midday Form or Midnight Form, depending on whether the player is playing "Pokemon Sun" or "Pokemon Moon." Its Midday Form is very fast, being able to dodge strikes while attacking. Lycanroc Midday can also learn the Accelerock move. Lycanroc Midnight Form that will give up its own safety to attack enemies.

In "Pokemon Sun and Moon," Pikachu will feature the exclusive Z-Move called Catastropika, which is a powerful attack that lets Pikachu borrow the strength of its trainer. Pikachu will surround itself with huge amounts of electric power and charge onto enemies. Eevee will showcase its Extreme Evoboost Z-Move, which gathers all of its eight evolutions to increase various attributes. Character customizations will also become available in the game. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are scheduled to launch on Nov. 18, 2016 on Nintendo 3DS. More updates and details are expected soon.
