Capcom Announces Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's Release Date And Demo

Capcom confirmed that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate would be releasing on the Nintendo Wii U system and Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 19, 2013 and across Europe on March 22, 2013.

The game publisher has also announced that the full game will be releasing for digital purchase on both systems during the same launch date. The Wii U game will fully support the voice chat functionality on that system.

Capcom will be releasing free playable demos for both the Wii U system and Nintendo 3DS on Feb. 21.

 Here is the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's official synopsis from Capcom:

"In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, players take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters while improving their skills and earning equipment upgrades.

With many challenging monsters and over 200 quests, the latest addition to the series is set to be the most expansive offering to date. The game can be played alone, online (up to four players) on the Wii U system, or locally using up to four Nintendo 3DS systems or a combination of up to three Nintendo 3DS systems and one Wii U system."

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a repackaging and expansion of the Wii title Monster Hunter 3, which was released on the Wii back in 2010. The Nintendo 3DS alongside the Wii U version will supports 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolution graphical output.

Capcom had previously announced that it would turn off the Monster Hunter 3 servers for the Nintendo Wii on April 30 as a result of the release of the Ultimate Wii U edition.
