Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, Specs, News & Update: Launch Date, Features, Specs Under The Hood Revealed! Should You Buy It?

Since the beginning of 2016, Microsoft has been rumored to release several hardware products this year. Although the company has yet to provide the details of these devices, many fans believe that the company is already planning to launch its upcoming flagship laptop, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. For several months it was believed that the American software giant was going to roll out the hybrid laptop/tablet before the year ends. However, new reports have emerged suggesting that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will arrive next year.

According to reports, although Microsoft will release the upcoming hybrid device early next year, the possibility of it being unveiled this year is still pretty high. There are speculations saying that Microsoft is preparing for an October launching of its latest operating system Windows 10 Redstone 2. Tech observers believe that the event is the perfect opportunity for the company to introduce the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. However, until the company decides to make an official announcement, interested buyers will have to wait for the official details of the device's specs and features.

There are reports saying Microsoft is planning to release the hybrid laptop with top-tier specs under the hood. The goal is to dominate the laptop market; in which apple is also planning to do so with its MacBook Pro 2016 release. If rumors are anything to go by, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 device will run on Intel's next gen core processor, the KabyLake. It is also expected to carry impressive features with its new Windows 10 operating system.

The powerful KabyLake processor of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be paired with 16GB of RAM. Its fast chipset along with an advanced graphics card will allow the hybrid device to support 4K display. Industry experts also expect the device to be more expensive than the current Surface Pro 4, which is available now with a $1,300 price tag.
