'Power Rangers' Spoilers, Cast, Release Date, News & Update: Bill Hader Bringing His Signature 'Saturday Night Live' Comedy to the 2017 Film

In our continued coverage of the highly anticipated "Power Rangers" reboot film that's set to arrive in 2017, more casting news, spoilers, release date info has been revealed. The latest cast addition to the film is "Saturday Night Live" actor, Bill Hader.

According to AceShowbiz, Lionsgate, the studio behind the "Power Rangers" reboot, took to Twitter to share the news about "Saturday Night Live"'s Bill Hader joining the film. While the 38-year old actor won't be physically in the film, he will bring to life the "panicky robot sidekick" called Alpha 5.

The robot is one of the most-loved characters on the 90's show. In fact, "Power Rangers" fans are looking forward to how they will recreate the yellow-and-red robot with a head shaped like a flying saucer. Entertainment Weekly reports that Alpha 5's signature expression, "aye-yi-yi," will definitely be in the script of the upcoming 2017 film.

The "Power Rangers" movie seems to be shaping pretty quickly and greatly, with the addition of "Saturday Night Live" comedy actor Bill Hader as Alpha 5. Hader will be joining Academy Award winner Bryan Cranston, who will play the wise Zordon, and Elizabeth Banks, who will play a rather sexy version of Rita Repulsa.

The "Power Rangers" brings together five newcomers as the face of the teen superheroes who are to protect the world from intergalactic evil. Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, R.J. Cyler, Becky G, and Ludi Lin will suit up to be the fab five, as they are directed by Dean Israelite.

"Saturday Night Live" comedy actor Bill Hader is no stranger to the big screen, as he recently appeared across Amy Schumer in "Trainwreck" and lent his voice to Fear in the animated film "Inside Out." His other big screen credits include "The Skeleton Twins," "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," and "Accidental Love." He's also lent his voice to animated films "BFG," "Finding Dory," "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 & 2," and "Sausage Party."

Check out our "Power Rangers" coverage by reading up on the details about Zordon, the film's first movie poster, and the addition of Cranston to the film. "Power Rangers" opens on March 24, 2017.
