MacBook Air 2016 Release Date, News & Update: Launch Date Revealed? Could Be Later Than Expected?

After the grand launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus earlier this month, Apple is once again ready to take the stage and the spotlight. This October, the Cupertino company is expected to announce several new products to update their MacBook lineup

With all the talk that the event is all about the debut of the MacBook Pro 2016. However another spoke on Apple's wheel seems to be missing all the attention, the MacBook Air 2016.

With Apple being so quiet in providing details and the leaks of the upcoming MacBooks being so scarce, especially for the MacBook Air lineup. What does this suppose to mean? With Tim Cook recently teasing a fan in regards to the Mac, should we really expect something new for the MacBook Air 2016?

Goodbye MacBook Air 2016, See You Soon MacBook Air 2017

Several reports are already confirming that fans of the MacBook Air will not see its shadow in Apple's October event, in fact even for the rest of 2016. As reported by Mobile & Apps, Apple will skip the MacBook Air 2016.

It's new scheduled release date will be early 2017 with improved internals and more options. With the current lineup of the MacBook Air providing 11 and 13 inch variants, the MacBook 2017 is said to come in 11-inch, 13-inch and 15-inch choices.

What might be the cause of delay for the MacBook Air launch could be the upgraded hardware. Rumors of a faster chip, improved battery, a thinner and lighter MacBook Air 2017 is expected but Apple has some well kept tricks off its sleeve.

The MacBook Air 2017 is said to sport cooling modules inside, doubled number of RAM up to 8GB and an Apple-Pencil enabled trackpad. Do you think the MacBook Air 2017 is worth the wait?
