'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' Latest News & Update: Cross-Platform Play Unlikely; Rage Quitters a Potential Reason?

As "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is slowly making its way to the public, fans are already looking at the potential direction that the game can go to-especially with the promise of being made available to the PC. That being said, the latest response from the creator of the game may prove utmost importance.

Fans of the expansion "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" have not been deprived of the latest information from the fighting game franchise as of late. Most of the news that has befallen the alleged title involves new characters, as well as the rumored cross-platform play.

According to Xbox Achievements, new footage about "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was granted to the fans, care of the Tokyo Game Show 2016. Setting such aside, the cross-platform feat which was asked of the game's creator Katsuhiro Harada finally led to a clarification.

As per Ubergizmo, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players are usually the more dominant hardware pieces to be placed alongside the likes of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," but the PC is not exactly being ruled out. However, Harada said that as of the moment, matching those console types with the PC may not be possible.

Avoiding The Puddle delivered that Harada's explanation is inclined not entirely about the technological differences, but instead is due to the security repercussions of the community for both the PC gamers and the console users. He clarified that it does not define PC gamers as cheaters, but the way that console gamers may not tolerate the idea of rage-quitting which became an issue in "Street Fighter V."

Simply put, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" may shatter the hopes of a cross-platform play for the time being, but may still be seen in the near future under Harada's discretion. For the moment, fans can stick with the conventional means of playing the game within their designated consoles.
