Bioware's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" still has no confirmed release date in sight. It seems that the studio is playing on the safe side by keeping mum on the final release date of the game, which is believed to be in the first quarter of 2017.

The latest news surrounding Bioware's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is that players will be able to customize their character in the upcoming game. Gaming Bolt reports that as per Bioware's creative director Mac Walters, gamers will be able to choose even the gender of their protagonist.

In response to a fan who asked whether or not there will be an official statement regarding the default name of the protagonist Ryder in the game, Walters said that they will be making an announcement this fall. He added that gamers will be able to change the name just as they did in the original trilogy that came before "Mass Effect: Andromeda."

Meanwhile, it seems that the upcoming action RPG shooter video game from Bioware will be utilizing the locomotion system of another game that is set to be released in February 2017, Ubisoft's "For Honor." User Shinobi602, who is supposedly an industry expert, wrote on the Neogaf forums that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be using a new locomotion system that is similar to what Ubisoft is using for the upcoming "For Honor."

Moreover, the industry expert also shared that the new locomotion system that is similar to that of Ubisoft's "For Honor" features locked feet with a natural gesturing system. Fans will have to wait and see to compare the locomotion systems used in both "For Honor" and "Mass Effect: Andromeda," as both are set to be released early next year.

Bioware's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is arriving to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC during the first quarter of 2017. Check back for the latest and watch out when we unveil the release date of the highly anticipated action RPG shooter video game.
