‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: New Patch Levels Gym Battles With Buffering

Niantic has another update rolled out for “Pokemon Go” and from the looks of it, more adjustments are needed. But while some are wary of such, it may be for their own good.

The latest update has to do with “Pokemon Go” Gym Battles, something that looks a lot like leveling the battlefield. As most have probably noticed, lags in the game can make a big difference between triumph and defeat.

With the new “Pokemon Go” update, players not only get some reprieve in the form of buffers but also some added tricks when battles arrive. That said, expect some changes catered to give players better chances of winning at Pokemon Gym Battles.

Managing delayed moves in Gym Battles

A new buffering feature should address the delays that some players encounter on “Pokemon Go”. This covers both the quick and charged attacks which mean players can execute their offensive after previous moves.

This should account for better strategies on the part of “Pokemon Go” players, not to mention some added flavor such as shooting a water gun when parrying an attack. Aside from that, it could fend off issues tied up to the excess usage of battery life, meaning longer gameplay for folks who have to deal with erratic connections.

Quick draws and button mashing nixed

For some players who have conquered Pokemon Gyms, spam attacks are likely one tactic used. With the new “Pokemon Go” update, button mashing is one practice that will be affected by the new buffering feature.

Overall, the buffering on “Pokemon Go” should account for more wise-thinking players when doing battle. Some may like it while others may not. Regardless, it does make sense considering the variance on game connectivity.

“Pokemon Go” players who were on the raw end of this issue can now rejoice. Others who may have grown used to it or worked around it will need to make adjustments yet again.
