"GTA 6" has been rumored to be in the works and will be out by 2018. However, it seems that this plan had been crossed out from the schedule as bigwigs of Rockstar Games reportedly changed their minds to focus more on creating new DLCs for "GTA 5" instead.

The speculations about "GTA 6" surfaced after fans expressed their wish for a game sequel. Many also expected that Rockstar Games will make an announcement about it during the Playstation meeting which took place on Sept. 7 at the Playstation Theatre in New York, however the subject was not even mentioned at all.

Likewise, fans of "Grand Theft Auto" were visibly disappointed because nothing about "GTA 6" was ever mentioned by Rockstar Games. But despite of this, they are still hoping that the game developer already have plans for the next version of GTA.

Many observers deduced that "GTA 6" will be a hit once it is released because previous "Grand Theft Auto" installments have always been popular. They even went on to say that its sales chart will make history again since they can see more innovative features being added to the supposed 6th chapter of the GTA series.

In any case, Rockstar Games will surely need a lot of time to complete "GTA 6" if they are really working on it now. The new gaming technologies like the VR may also be causing the delay of the game as Rockstar wants to keep up with the changing times.

When the time comes, "GTA 6" is likely to be available on Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and PC. It is also expected to feature high definition animations, more game modes, more fast car models and interesting stories. As for the game's new location, IGN mentioned that Tokyo is being considered.

In conclusion, even if Rockstar decided to focus on "GTA 5" at the moment, fans are hoping that the game developer will not shelved the production of "GTA 6." For avid gamers, waiting for a bit more time is better that none at all.
