'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 4 Spoilers & News: 'Coral Palms Pt. 2' Nods to Lack of Gun Control, Taylor Swift's Love Life & LGBT Rights

Last night's episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 brought about some promising developments in the hunt for Figgis, as the hunter suddenly became the hunted. Don't read on if you haven't watched "Coral Palms Pt. 2."

In the latest episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, Captain Holt and Jake Peralta are still stuck in Florida as Greg and Larry, respectively. The new episode also saw the return of guest star, Maya Rudolph of "Saturday Night Live" and "Maya & Marty" as U.S. Marshall Karen Haas. Rudolph's character continues to oversee Holt and Jake as they are in the witness protection program.

The latest episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4 nods to the complete lack of gun control in the United States. It finds Captain Holt and Jake, still under the disguise of Greg and Larry, strolling into a gun store and purchasing weaponry. The store owner casually says that he can sell them guns even without an ID and Jake comments, "Our country is broken."

In tonight's episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4, we find Rudolph's character asking Holt and Jake for relationship advice. We also find references to Taylor Swift's love life, when Jake hilariously shares to Captain Holt that he was detained by the pop star's security detail, citing that it was a "misunderstanding." He goes on to say, "She's probably gonna write a song about me."

In true Mike Schur and Dan Goor fashion, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4's latest episode also pokes fun at how backward society is when it comes to gender equality. Another guest star in last night's episode was "Parks and Recreation" star Jim O'Heir, whose views on women's and LGBT rights are from a decade or two behind. He's all for a brawl between Captain Holt and Jake, but immediately breaks them off when Jake decides to kiss Holt on the lips just to break out of prison.

What's your favorite part of last night's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4? Keep checking back and make sure to watch the show next week as Eric Roberts, who will play Jimmy "The Butcher" Figgis, arrives to the Nine-Nine to hunt down Jake.
