The fantasy horror TV series of  Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) has been on air since 2005 and dubbed as the longest-running science fiction story in the U.S. Now that they are up with "Supernatural" Season 12, there are swirling rumors that it will be the final installment for the series.

In fact, there are even assumptions that "Supernatural" Season 12 will not push through. According to Movie News Guide, some believe that "Supernatural" Season 11 told the most eccentric tale that the next installment might find hard to surpass. There are also emerging hearsays that a reshoot is about to happen, changing the whole theme and synopsis of "Supernatural" Season 12.

It has been said that a spinoff will be shown Instead of a "Supernatural" Season 12, revealing a time jump from the last installment. But, the showrunners slammed this report and insisted that the new chapter will be very different compared to its previous episodes. Here, every story of the characters and their route would be explored and it would start in the return of Mary Winchester.

The CW President Mark Pedowitz Breaks His Silence!

Meanwhile, GamenGuide reported that even The CW President Mark Pedowitz cleared that as long there are viewers who are supporting the show, they will let "Supernatural" Season 12 on air. He even said that as he remains to be the network's chair, he will be its number one supporter. He even foresees that the story of the Winchester Brothers will go on for a number of seasons more as long as its ratings are hitting.

"The best thing I can do for the guys and for the studio and for the showrunners is basically make sure we don't mess them up," Mark Pedowitz said. The series creator Eric Kripke, on the other hand, revealed that they are trying their best to pitch more interesting stories to keep "Supernatural" on TV. If truth be told, it is part of The CW's lineup and the "last surviving WB show." In spite of all the rumors, "Supernatural" Season 12 returns on Oct. 13 on The CW at 9:00 p.m.
