‘Final Fantasy 7 Remake’ Latest News & Update: Action-Based Combat System, Three Whole Parts For Remake

Square Enix has been working double time so that the first part of the remake of "Final Fantasy 7" could be out in 2017. The remake of "Final Fantasy 7" was announced in 2015 at E3 and this aroused tremendous excitement for gamers who had experienced the game in its full glory.

iDigital Times reports that as bits and details of the game had been revealed, it has been confirmed that the game will be featuring an action-oriented battle system. It is also reported that the game would come out in different parts instead of one whole so that cutes to the original game would be minimized. In 2016 however, barely anything has been added to what has been revealed earlier and it seems that it will remain that way for a long time.

It is an unwritten rule for developer studios that their most highly anticipated games must be announced years in advance, but Square Enix does not appear to follow suit. Sometimes, however, buzz and hype are more important than actually releasing a game as timely as they can and this could be the case for the new "Final Fantasy 7." When Square Enix first teased it, it was still in the earliest stages of development and the game has not taken on its full form and shape yet.

That reveal was basically just a tease and a big promise which would be fulfilled someday but Square Enix is in no rush to do so. GamenGuide reports that the remake of "Final Fantasy 7" will have three parts, as per producer Yoshinori Kitase who revealed the details in an interview. All three parts of the game are individually complete games in their own rights and will not follow the episodic structure of most other games.

Kitase also revealed that the remake will feature a different battle system which he described as inspired by "Final Fantasy Dissidia." "Final Fantasy XV's" battle system will also have close similarities with that of "Final Fantasy 7" remake but still closer to one of Square Enix's greatest masterpieces: "Kingdom Hearts." The game developers opted for a real time action combat mode of battle for this remake rather than the traditional RPG style battle which Final Fantasy games are known for.
