NHL '13 News: EA Sports Has Announced Canadian Hockey Team Week

EA Sports has announced Canadian Hockey Team Week for its virtual hockey video game, NHL'13.

According to the EA Sports webpage, the Canadian Hockey Team Week will run from February 2 through February 8. Each day on the week, EA will be giving away one special edition 93-rated HUT player item from a Canadian team to one fan on the EA Sports or NHL social channels.

Here are the Canadian players list from the EA Sports website:

  •  Henrik Sedin (Vancouver Canucks)
  •  Jarome Iginla (Calgary Flames)
  •  Jordan Eberle (Edmonton Oilers)
  •  Evander Kane (Winnipeg Jets
  •  Phil Kessel (Toronto Maple Leafs)
  •  Erik Karlsson (Ottawa Senators)
  •  Carey Price (Montreal Canadiens)

At the end of the Canadian Hockey Team Week, EA Sports will release a Jumbo Player Premium Pack. The pack will only be available for a 24 hour period and includes "26 high-end, 80+ player items that will help turn your HUT team into a contender."

Since the return of the NHL from its early season lockout, EA Sports has been offering plenty of incentives to put NHL '13 back in your video game console of choice, including several HUT events and moments to relive from the current season. 

NHL '13 is now available on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, and features Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux on the cover. the game marks the 22nd entry in the long running virtual hockey franchise.
