Recent news and updates pertaining to Robert Downey Jr.’s role in “Iron Man 4” are not boding well. There are rumors that a new actor would replace Robert Downey as Tony Stark. Claims have surfaced that despite the planning, Marvel and Downey’s schedule are not on the same page.
Although the rumors have surfaced with a hurried momentum, none of these presumptions were proven as true. Also, there has been no word from Marvel that they are scouting for a new cast to replace Robert Downey Jr. in “Iron Man 4.”
Given the strong presence of Robert Downey Jr. in the “Iron Man” franchise, replacing him would create unprecedented consequences. It is irrefutable that Downey has made Tony Stark come to life in such a strong and compelling way.

However, there are two claims have surfaced. For one, according to GamenGuide, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland are prepping up things up to in preparation for the making of "Iron Man 4," but that claim has also not been proven.
Vine Report also shared that there are still no updates regarding the release of "Iron Man 4" into the big screens. It stands out that projects are already lined up and there has been no definitive word that Robert Downey Jr. is preparing for his stand alone film.

For the fans and followers of Robert Downey Jr. and the "Iron Man" legacy, "Iron Man 4" and its release date as well as its fate are still undisclosed. That being said, the waiting game has just begun for the avid followers of the "Iron Man."
