Disney is seemingly on a roll in reviving their iconic animated films into live action movies. First, it was "Beauty And The Beast," and now it has been confirmed that "Lion King" movie is up next.
The jungle-themed movie was a big hit among kids and young-at-hearts when it was first released in 1994. Now after more than twenty years, a "Lion King" live-action movie is in the works.
The Hype Is Real
After the official confirmation of the "Lion King" live-action movie has been released, the fans were excited and curious about the details of the said revival. Unlike "Beauty And The Beast" 2017 movie though, "Lion King" live-action movie will not involve a lot of human characters as cast members.
"Lion King" live-action movie is expected to impress the viewers with high-end and state of the art graphics and animation - less brightness and vivid colors, more focus to realistic details. "Lion King" live action movie is reportedly following the footsteps of the recently released "Jungle Book" movie.
Aside from "Jungle Book," Disney has also revisited "Cinderella" and turned them into human characters. "Beauty And The Beast" movie is already set to premiere a few months from now, and with its impending success almost written in the stars, Disney will definitely make "Lion King" live-action movie a blast.
New Plot & Characters?
Unlike "Cinderella" and "Jungle Book," there are speculations that Disney might revamp the plot of "Lion King" live-action movie. Although it will still feature the well-loved main characters like Simba, Nala, Scar and Rafiki, there might be new additions to "Lion King" live-action movie. However, take these as a grain of salt as Disney and the producers still haven't confirmed the creation of new characters.
If there would be additions to the characters in "Lion King" live-action movie, the fans are hoping that they would add color to the already wonderful story. The story of Simba victoriously winning over Mufasa and the adorable characters surrounding him have tugged at the heartstrings of its viewers decades ago.
