'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, News & Update: Is Game Losing Its Hype? Check Out 'KH3' Ranking Here!
Some "Kingdom Hearts" fans have already showed signs of disappointment as they feel like they have been waiting forever for the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3." The delay was supposed to make way for the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" since the said game is set to premiere first. Another reason for the delay is to probably add more hype to the already much-awaited "Kingdom Hearts 3," but did the plan of Square Enix backfire this time?
Just when fans thought that they will finally get their hands on "Kingdom Hearts 3," the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" was introduced and revealed as an important piece before conquering "Kingdom Hearts 3." Gaming Bolt reports that "Kingdom Hearts 3" only nabbed the 7th spot in the latest Famitsu Charts. It appears that even though "Kingdom Hearts 3" is a much-awaited game, the delay may have been too much for the fans that they lost interest in "Kingdom Hearts 3." This has been the highest position that "Kingdom Hearts 3" ever reached. Unfortunately, the much-hyped "Kingdom Hearts 3" has never reached the Top 5 in the Famitsu Charts for months now.
It seems that the fans may have already accepted the fact that they will not learn much about "Kingdom Hearts 3" yet, but they may want to know just little details of the game to keep them excited. The last time that fans got to play "Kingdom Hearts" was back in 2005, when "Kingdom Hearts 2" was released. While Kingdom Hearts 1" and Kingdom Hearts 2" only had a 3-year gap, "Kingdom Hearts 2" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" has an agonizing 11-year gap!
The release of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" has been moved from December 2016 to January 12, 2017. The "Kingdom Hearts 3" trailer revealed that the game is "currently in development."
