It looks like things are about to be different in the return of "Arrow" Season 5. Oliver Queen (Stephan Amell) will feel the weight of all of his responsibilities as the city's mayor and as the Green Arrow. Although Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is ready to move on from the things of the past, Oliver remains in denial.

'Arrow' Season 5 Will Be All About Oliver's Legacy?

The executive producer Wendy Mericle told TVGuide that Oliver is still hoping that things will go back to normal in "Arrow" Season 5. "He's going to be looking back at what he's done and what he's accomplished and he's assessing that," the TV writer explained. "Arrow" Season 5 would be about Oliver's analyzation about everything he is doing as a leader and as a hero.

"But he's also looking forward to think about, 'What is my legacy going to be? Is it going to be the legacy of a hero or the legacy of a murderer?" Wendy Mericle added. The producer revealed that Oliver is trying his best to be as responsible as he can in "Arrow" Season 5. Oliver, too, is thinking if he is effectively creating a legacy as the mayor or as a Green Arrow.

'Arrow' Season 5 Back To Basic?

Meanwhile, Den of Geek reported that "Arrow" Season 5 is gradually creating its names as a superhero show just like "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl." In fact, it is now showcasing more moving scenes and challenges in the coming new installment. It seems "Arrow" Season 5 will be back to basic that will focus more on the dangers coming with an introduction of the new superhero team.

Living up to its first episode title, "Legacy," "Arrow" Season 5 is about to reveal action-packed scenes that it is first known for. The publication noted that "Arrow" Season 5 will once again stand with confidence just like before with its original theme that made it famous. "Arrow" Season 5's first episode, "Legacy," will air on Oct. 5 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
