Pokemon Rumble U Brings Pokemon to Wii U This Spring... In Japan

It looks like the Wii U may be getting a Pokemon title after all: Japanese magazine CoroCoro revealed that Pokemon Rumble U will head to the Wii U this spring in Japan.

Rumble U, called Pokemon Scramble U in Japan, will be the third entry in the Pokemon Rumbleseries, and the first Pokemontitle on Nintendo's newest platform. Beginning with original Pokemon Rumble, a 2009 WiiWare title, the Rumble series eschews the primary Pokemon series' turn-based RPG gameplay, opting for dungeon crawling and real-time melee combat. Instead of capturing them, players could purchase Pokemon with coins in battle. The second Rumble game, Pokemon Rumble Blast, was released on the 3DS in 2011.

According to Serbeii.Net, Rumble U will support four-player gameplay and battles with up to 100 Pokemon. The roster will only feature the first five generations of Pokemon.

As of now, Nintendo has not confirmed a US release for Pokemon Rumble U. Of course, Nintendo technically hasn't said anything official about the game yet, so it's a bit pre-mature to say whether or not the game will see a North American release.
