‘Persona 5’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Atlus Games to Release Free DLC to Mark Big Success in Japan

"Persona 5" will be upgraded soon as its developer Atlus is set to launch the latest DLC for the game. The best thing about this is that, this new downloadable content is going to be distributed for free, in celebration of its huge success after selling about 550,000 copies in Japan.

According to Playstation Lifestyle, "Persona 5" was released in Japan on Sept. 15 and copies sold went beyond the expectations. Atlus shared more than 500,000 copies were shipped via online stores and retail.

As a way to express their gratitude to fans who supported the game, the video game company decided to release free DLC which will come with two new sets of costumes. Fans should grab this offer because it will only be available from Oct. 5 to Oct. 10.

Once the promo period is over, gamers will now have to purchase the "Persona 5" Catherine costume DLC for about $8. Then again, it was not specified whether this free costume set will come with a bikini set. At any rate, Persona Central listed all the other available costume DLCs that fans may want to get for a fee.

Aside from the new costumes, "Persona 5" free DLC offers various accessories and selections for background music. And unlike the previous versions of the game, specifically the 4th installment, where the game was set in an area called Inaba, the setting for the upcoming chapter will be in Yongenjaya, a place located west of Japan's Shibuya.
