‘Mortal Kombat XL’ On PC, Balance Patch, Latest News & Update: Adjustments To Character Moves; New System & Gameplay Fixes

NetherRealm Studios announced that the PC version of "Mortal Kombat XL" will officially launch on Oct. 4, 2016. Creative director Ed Boon provided some details about the upcoming edition, which will particularly add several balances and fixes. The game developer will improve "Mortal Kombat X" more with several balance changes that will arrive on the same day that "Mortal Kombat XL" becomes available on PC.

Ed Boon gave some details about the tweaks to expect on Twitter. The creative director mentioned that the"Mortal Kombat XL" balance patch will let Bo Rai Cho's staff to spin cancel projectiles thrown by enemies. The ignite move of the character will also be enhanced. Furthermore, Boon noted that Shinnok can now dash cancel out of his Judgment Fist and Smash moves. The GoroPunchwalk now features more punches and Raiden will receive two hits of armor.

Kitana will have an assassin buff that makes her more lethal. Alien's tail, however, will not be as immune, when the "Mortal Kombat XL" balance patch arrives. Boon stated that the upcoming "Mortal XL" balance patch will also balance Kenshi'sBalanced variation more by allowing him to combo after his Ex-Drop. Sub Zero will have a new command grab. Furthermore, the "Mortal Kombat XL" update will include several move list corrections, energy cost adjustments and gameplay fixes.

GameSpot reported that the "Mortal Kombat XL" balance update aims to equalize the various characters in the game by putting both powerful and weaker characters along the same level as middle-tier ones. Overall, NetherRealm Studios planned to make "Mortal Kombat XL" more fun and balanced. Some systems were also adjusted by the "Mortal Kombat XL" patch like running, wake-up attacks, armor and air attacks. Kounter message was added when a hit lands as a counterattack or punish. There are no more additional requirements for WBID unlocks. Getting hit while running will drain 50 energy with the new change.

NetherRealm Studios is expected to feature a rundown of the changes that the balance patch will introduce on October 3, via a live stream on Twitch. More updates and details on "Mortal Kombat XL" on PC are expected soon.
