'Final Fantasy XV's' Release Date, News & Update: Director Hagimi Tabata It Would Take More Than a Year to Bring to PC

PC players still have to wait a bit longer for the "Final Fantasy XV" to be made available and play the series latest game. "We have only announced the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4."

During an interview in the Spanish site VidaExtra translated by WCCFFtech with the co - director Hagimi Tabata. Tabata does not confirm nor deny the speculations of a "Final Fantasy XV" PC release. It would take the Square Enix over a year to bring the upcoming RPG to the platform.

PCGamers reports that if a "Final Fantasy XV" PC release is coming, it will take quite a while to happen. "Not talking about something real, just an idea, if we worked on a PC version of what I have very clear[in mind] is that we would work to provide a better version of what we have now on consoles," Tabata said. "We could say that something like this would take us more than a year. We should work to adapt the engine, which is very laborious, and from there to develop its course." He continued.

Tabata also mentions that the team is doing its best on "Final Fantasy XV," working on supports and further enhancements to newer consoles like Playstation 4 Pro and Xbox One S (HRD). Developers are planning that a "Final Fantasy XV" DLC specifically made for Sony's Playstation VR, which will be released in the coming days.

In the said interview Tabata hinted that the game could further receive optimizations for newer versions of Sony and Microsoft's hardware. "Final Fantasy XV" will be released for Xbox One and Playstation 4 on November 29 , after a 10-year being developed.
