Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location' News & Update: Why Scott Cawthon Moves Release Date; FNaF's Mature Edition is Up for Download!

"Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is delayed. The game was supposed to be released on Oct. 8, but did not pushed through. Game developer Scott Cawthon understands that this must be frustrating for fans who have been waiting for the next FNaF installment so he pleaded for their understanding.

In a long post on Steam Community forums, Cawthon explained the reason why he had to delay "Friday Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location." He appeared to be very concern with the current contents of the gameplay and finds it unfit for kids, thus he decided to rework FNaF, resulting to the move of its release date.

On Oct. 5, he wrote "People want a horror game and I get that. This is supposed to be horror and not kid friendly. So then what am I supposed to do? Release something that offends me just to satisfy those who want to play it? Or take the time and effort to really craft something that everyone can enjoy?"

Cawthon expressed that he knew that the answer to his own question, which is to create a game that kids would like and enjoy too. For this, he came up with the solution to create "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" gameplay that would fit for everyone.

He decided to release a mature edition of the game first and then launch the "kid-friendly" version later. Cawthon published the mature edition of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location on Oct. 6 so it cannot be fully said that he did not fulfill his promise to release the game on Oct. 8.

"Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" is now available on GameJolt and fans can download this for free. On the site, the game was described to feature intense cartoon violence, intense fantasy violence and intense realistic violence and this was what Cawthon is talking about when he put off the game's release .

Meanwhile, as to when Scott Games is releasing the full version of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," Cawthon said that he can release it on schedule as it is or he can delay it for a few months in order to revise the whole thing and turn it to something kid-friendly.
