It might be an impossible expectation, but fans are still hoping for Charlie Hunnam to actually have a cameo in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel. Some continue to argue that Jax Teller was the heart and soul of the FX series and feel that the character should make an appearance in "The First 9" in some strange way. But is it possible that Jax could pop up in the show? And is the prequel finally set for a 2018 air date?
Charlie Hunnam Appearance In 'Sons Of Anarchy' Prequel Possible? Jax Teller To Appear In Present Day Scenes?
There's a good reason why it's called a "Sons of Anarchy" prequel: "The First 9" will be set in the 60's and will follow the story of Jax's dad John "J.T." Teller. Since Charlie Hunnam's character was actually born in the 70's, it is almost impossible for Jax to appear in the series. Nevertheless, some fans still believe that the biker could appear in the show decides to offer glimpses into what is happening to the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original in the present day. Well, to the events that happened prior to Jax Teller's death anyway.
It's certainly a hopeful thought, but it is highly unlikely that the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel will move out of its intended timeline simply to accommodate Charlie Hunnam's cameo. Besides, there are more important things to worry about when it comes to "The First 9". For starters, when exactly will the series air on FX?

When Is The 'Sons Of Anarchy' Prequel Air Date? 'The First 9' To Premiere In 2018?
There haven't been any new updates about the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel just yet, since it appears that Kurt Sutter is eager to work on the spinoff series first (via Instagram). There is a possibility that "Mayans MC" will premiere sometime in 2017, during which the prequel is expected to begin production. "The First 9" could then air on FX by mid-2018.
