'Gears of War 4' Latest News & Update: How Will the Game Look in Microsoft's 6 TeraFLOPS Project Scorpio?

"Gears of War 4" is just 3 days after launch and gamers are beginning to ask questions how stunning it will look if Project Scorpio unleashes its 6 teraFLOPS of power into the title.

What is a teraFLOP by the way? It is better to avoid all the technical description about trillion floating point operation - whatever, and simply proceed to dummy definition. TeraFLOP is a unit of measure about computer's performance and ability to handle data. Meaning, "Gears of War 4" will have the chance to thread into Microsoft's Xbox One Project Scorpio next year.

"Gears of War 4" already looks stunning in Xbox One S with Ultra High-Definition capabilities. This explains why gamers got suddenly excited when technical director Mike Rayner of developer The Coalition announced that they are ready to take on Project Scorpio. Then big boss Rod Fergusson lit another wick by narrating the future of consoles in a Daily Star interview. It sounds that The Coalition can do what it please with "Gears of War 4" and Microsoft provided them autonomy.

If so, will it be possible that the already UHD, 60fps "Gears of War 4" can take advantage of what Project Scorpio has to offer? Fergusson said that there is still a link between the development team and Microsoft when it comes to what should be included in the game, Segment Next reported. Logically, the future of this game title is dependent on whatever mutual decision will come in the future. "Gear of War 4" is still Microsoft's brainchild so "permissions" are needed for the green light.

Meanwhile, IGN review of "Gears of War 4" called the title as a new breed considering that a "new generation of creators" is behind it. Campaign contents, Versus and Horde are all in the positive spotlight. Should there be any improvements to be done in the future, then it might even sound like an experiment. Not that this title is perfect, but gamers can wrap the conclusion that it is somewhere near that description.
