Samsung Galaxy C9 Release Date, News & Update: 16MP Primary & Secondary Camera Teased

If reports are to be believed, Sony is coming up with a Galaxy C7 successor that might be named the Galaxy C9. A teaser posted on the Chinese website Weibo revealed that Samsung is coming up with the next big thing. From the looks of the teaser it seemed that the Korean mobile maker is now focusing on the Galaxy C9.

According to NDTV's Gadget 360, the benchmarking website Geekbench revealed details of the new Samsung smartphone that in all probability is the Galaxy C9. The leak showed a 6-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Qualcomm CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and a 6GB RAM.

Initially, Samsung thought of introducing the 6GB RAM in its Galaxy Note 7 only for China. However, it decided to stick to the 4GB RAM option.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 is also expected to sport a 16MP primary as well as secondary camera. If this is true, it will surely create an unimaginable buzz in the market. The rear camera will have an LED flash. An upgraded fingerprint scanner is also expected along with a 4,000 mAh battery.

Tech enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for Samsung to release an official statement about the Samsung Galaxy C9. There is also no confirmation on whether Samsung is looking at releasing the device only in China or is looking for a worldwide release. Rest of the Galaxy C-series has been exclusive to China.

Comparing the Galaxy C7 and the Galaxy C9, the C7 is slightly smaller than C9, having a 5.7-inch display though both have AMOLED Displays. The C7 has a 4GB RAM whereas the Samsung Galaxy C9 is expected to have 6GB of RAM. It's the first phone expected to be having such high RAM capacity. Camera-wise, the Galaxy C9 is at a greater advantage as it sports 16MP primary and secondary cameras whereas the Galaxy C7 has 16MP primary and 8MP secondary camera.
