Park Shin Hye, Suzy, ‘Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ star IU’s diet secrets revealed

Maintaining a slim figure is a must for many celebrities such as South Korean actresses and performers. Recently, a latest report has uncovered Park Shin Hye's diet routine including the extreme meal plans that Bae Suzy, IU and Ailee followed.

Park surprised many fans when she appeared in the SBS drama "Doctors" with a leaner figure. The actress looked thinner in the said series as compared to previous acting projects. In a recent segment on the South Korean program "Follow M" Season 5, beauty experts cited Park as one of the celebrities who followed an extreme diet plan, Korea Herald reported.

The actress' daily diet menu consisted of a glass of fat-free milk and a small cucumber for breakfast. For lunch, Park consumed two cabbage leaves and half a cup of rice. The "Pinocchio" star ate a similar meal for dinner where she replaced the rice with a small cucumber.

Apart from Park, the said segment also unveiled Suzy, IU and Korean singer Ailee's daily meals. The "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actress IU, who already has a lithe figure, only consumed two pieces of sweet potatoes, an apple and a protein drink. Suzy also had a similar diet plan with a daily menu that consisted of a glass of milk, a sweet potato and a small serving of flaked chicken breast.

The Korean crooner Ailee appears to prefer a diet that has more vegetables. The singer's daily diet menu included one cup of broccoli, a cup of mixed vegetables with bell peppers, a banana, as well as a small serving of chicken breast.

Apart from the strict diet menu, these celebrities also follow a rigorous exercise plan to help them lose weight for a role or performance. However, the show's host and its expert guests warned of potential side effects from the said extreme diet routines.

In other news, Park will soon appear on the big screens in the upcoming movie "Brothers." The actress will play the role of Soo Hyun, a Judo coach for aspiring martial arts athletes, Korea.com reported. The movie will also feature EXO group member D.O. as Doo Young and "Oh My Ghostess" actor Jo Jung Sik as Doo Young's older brother.

"Brothers" is expected to hit South Korean movie theaters in November. Meanwhile, watch some of Park's memorable scenes in "Doctors" below:
