Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is said to be released on the market in spring of 2017. The new product of Microsoft will run the newest OS update of Microsoft called Redstone instead of the Windows 10 OS. Will this mean Microsoft will replace the long-running Windows OS?

As Surface Pro 4 hit the market like a storm last 2015 up to present alongside with Surface Book 2, there have been rumors that Microsoft is working with its successor, the Surface Pro 5 which is said to be released in the spring of 2017. Also, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run the new processor of Intel, the Intel Kaby Lake processor, reports Windows Central. It is also speculated by others the 2-in-1 PC tablet will be running the new Microsoft OS known as Redstone.

Moreover, the upcoming product Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be having the USB-C to replace the connectors like USB 3.0 port, microSD card slot, Mini display port for video and an audio jack. The new PC tablet of Microsoft will have an enhanced keyboard accessory. The overall specs of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 are expected to have similar features to Surface Pro 4 and the company is rumored for release within this month, according MS Power User

Microsoft will be releasing their new operating system Redstone in 2017 along with Microsoft Surface Pro 5. For this reason, there have been rumors that Microsoft will discontinue the Windows operating system and Windows 10 is believed to be the last Windows version.

Meanwhile, the company Microsoft offers a $100 discount for Core i5 variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. There's still no expiration for the discount so you can get the upgraded version of the processor at the same standing price of $899. You still get the same amount of 4G RAM and 128 GB of flash storage.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will still be available in spring of 2017 but Microsoft will help an event on October 26 which may include upgrades on the processors of the Surface Pro 4. Also, the event will comprise up of Intel's Kaby Lake series.
