‘Half-Life 3’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Game Codes Increase Hype; Virtual Reality Coming?
Game codes can dictate on things to expect and one may have just been spilled for “Half-Life 3”. Though there is no official word yet on whether Valve will actually releasing the famed first-shooter game, some leaked game codes have spurred up hype for the game yet again.
Back in July, a previous post covered the possibility of integrating VR technology to “Half-Life 3”. Much of this was spurred by a dish from a Valve hardware engineer named Alan Yates who revealed a smaller AR/VR research team could hint at a possible VR-backed game.
Valve has downsized its workforce where only 1/3 of them have been allegedly assigned to “Half-Life 3”. The latest game codes for a potential “Half-Life 3” originate from the ones seen on Dota 2, Valve News Network reported.
It summed up a procedure tied up to shattering glass panels – “used to force the HLVR player to speak”. Aside from that, there are other lines in the "Half-Life 3" game code, which call for HLVR such as ammunition and weapons, IGN reported.
Valve has not officially announced anything meaning these are nothing more than speculations for now. The alleged codes linked to “Half-Life 3” could be anything, ranging from left-over codes or oversights. Such has happened to other games before such as that celebrated Toddler inclusion for “The Sims 4” covered in another post.
Also, it would be best to know the actual status of “Half-Life 3”. Is the game actually in the works? If so, many would want to know how much ground game developers have covered to get a better view on whether it will indeed come out or not.
Despite the wishes of many, “Half-Life 3” still holds a questionable future. VR integration could be possible as well but it also depends if the technology would still be feasible by the time that “Half-Life” installment is actually confirmed to come out.
