The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is now a highly-anticipated device and fans are eagerly reading up and discussing every rumor circulating on the Internet. The successor to the popular Surface Pro 4 is expected to feature an improved Stylus and an extended battery life.
Apple has not yet revealed a release date for the device which is a bit of a turn off for fans. If Microsoft is waiting for the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update slated to be released next year in spring, fans will have to wait for the Surface Pro 5 till 2017.
There are few other Microsoft devices that are also expected to be released such as the Surface AIO PC, Surface Book 2 and the Surface Phone. Even though these are speculations and rumors, there is definitely some truth to them.
Microsoft is reportedly ready to wow its customers through a series of new devices and software improvements in 2017. News about a new software update to optimize OneCore is already making rounds and the update will be made available to insiders soon. The update will probably be released before the launch of the Surface Pro 5.
Rumors surrounding Thunderbolt 3 in Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also gaining momentum. This technology is reportedly being developed by Intel Israel, codenamed Alpine Ridge. The new technology will supposedly halve power consumption, double bandwidth to 5GB per second and drive two external 4K displays at 60Hz.
Thunderbolt 3 in Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be using the USB Type-C ports. Although there is no word from the company as to this technology's inclusion in the said device, Apple and Google Pixel phones' adoption of the technology has upped the expectations for Microsoft loyalists.
Microsoft has already announced a Windows 10 event on Oct. 26 where it is expected to unveil the AIO desktop. Fans hope that it will also reveal something about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 specs and features and a possible release date, reports TechAdvisor.
