The Evil Comes After Them

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers from Celeb Dirty Laundry suggest that Nina Dobrev may return as Katherine after a promo clip was released for season 8. In the promo trailer, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is seen releasing something evil from an underground vault.

It is speculated that Damon released Elena's doppelganger to bring horror to Mystic Falls. "The Vampire Diaries" fans believe that the vault is the same one, where Damon hears desperate pleas for help.

The extended promo also showed major characters like Stefan (Paul Wesley), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Caroline (Candice King). E! News got an exclusive first look at "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 promo clip, where fans see Damon saying, "This is it. This is the beginning of the end."

Damon then turns to his brother Stefan to tell him that he can't save him. Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) seemed to be overly concerned with the current state of the two brothers. It seems as though there's a lot in store for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

Katherine Is Alive?

It is said that in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, more vampires were supposed to be trapped under Fell's Church more than a decade ago. George (Simon Miller) was supposed to help Katherine escape Mystic Falls.

However, there are some speculations that Katherine wasn't able to escape, getting trapped with other vampires for more than a decade. Someone is using Elena's voice in the vault to create havoc in Mystic Falls.
