‘The Sims 4 City Living’ Release Date, News & Update: New Careers Involve Exciting Job Assignments

Exciting new things are in store for avid players of Electronic Arts' life simulation game "The Sims 4." Latest news teased of the job assignments that Sims would need to accomplish to progress in the game's new careers.

Game developers have added three new careers to the highly anticipated "The Sims 4" third expansion pack. Titled "City Living," the said pack will introduce a Social Media Career, a Critic career and a Politics Career. A press statement posted on "The Sims" official website also revealed the two job branches available for the Politics Career.

Of the three new "The Sims 4" professions, the Social Media Career will require many interactions with the in-game computer unit. Gaining a huge follower count is vital for this career. Performance measures include holding chat sessions and live streaming activities.

However, the Politics and Critic Careers will feature a slightly different work requirement. Some tasks may involve a Sim going out to various neighborhoods or areas to complete job assignments.

"The Sims 4" new Politics career will require Sims to conduct public speeches or protests. Leveling up in this career will open up two branches namely the Politician career path and the Charity Organizer profession.

An inspiring public speech can result to an increased supporter count for Sim politicians. Meanwhile, a charity organizer's task will focus on securing funding for projects and building a strong network.

Gamers who will choose a Critic profession for their Sims can opt to review an artwork, a performance or a dish. Site visits to the different neighborhoods and festivals included "The Sims 4 City Living" expansion pack would become necessary.

The new job assignments can also be done in other "The Sims 4" worlds, according to a member of "The Sims" team. In a Twitter Q&A session, as cited by the fansite SimsVIP, SimGuruDaniel confirmed that the new career tasks will also work in most of the in-game worlds. However, some of the job assignments can only be accomplished in specific "City Living" festivals.

"The Sims 4 City Living" expansion will be released on Nov. 1 for PC and Mac. Watch the trailer below:
