The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe unlocked smartphone has been made available in the US and is available for $499. The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition will go on sale in the US from Oct. 19 and will be priced at $799.
According to GSMArena, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is multi-touch enabled up to 5 fingers and has the Asus ZenUI 3.0.
A 5.5-inch variant is expected to release in October that will be multi-touch enabled up to 10 fingers and IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe handset runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset.
The Asus Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is available in 64/128/256GB variants with 4/6GB RAM and microSD card slot expandable up to 256GB of storage. The 5.5-inch variant will have 64GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM.
It has a 23MP primary camera with laser/phase detection autofocus, OIS (4-axis) and dual-LED (dual tone) flash along with other features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama. However, the camera didn't fair well under more challenging conditions. It has an 8MP secondary camera. The 5.5-inch variant also has an 8MP secondary camera but a 16MP primary camera.
Fingerprint sensor is available in both handsets along with fast battery charging functionality that can charge 60 percent of the battery capacity in just 30 minutes via Quick Charge 3.0. The non-removable 3,000 mAh battery is included in both Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe as well as the 5.5-inch variant.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe handset has a sleek design and is known for its fast performance and great network connectivity. Its battery life is also pretty good.
