MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, News & Update: 2 Different Models Confirmed? Apple Gets Rid of MagSafe 2 Ports? Impressive Specs, Features

Latest reports suggest that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be having its official launch in the upcoming October 27 event that will be hosted by Apple. Fans can also expect that the laptop will be having its major overhaul. Other devices such as the MacBook Air might also be announced in the said event.

According to a report from Apple Insider, sources of Japanese site Mac Otakara claim there will be two models of MacBook Pro 2016 that will be launched soon: the 13-inch and the 15-inch. Reports also say that the MacBook Air's 11-inch model will not be having an upgrade; only its 13-inch model will be updated.

A USB Type-C and a ThunderBolt 3 Ports are also expected in the MacBook Pro 2016. But, the MagSafe 2 Port might not be available. For those who do not know, MagSafe is a series of proprietary magnetically attached power connectors that was first introduced by Apple in January 2006.

The MacBook Pro 2016 will also have a redesigned body, which is said to be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors. A report in MacRumor states that the laptop's new keyboard will be flatter and it will have an OLED Display Touch Panel that will be replacing the function keys at the top of the keyboard. All frequently-used applications will also have shortcut keys.

However, there is still no confirmation whether the MacBook Pro 2016 will use the Intel's seventh gen Kaby Lake or the Skylake Processor. But, some of the Apple fanatics strongly believe that the company will use the Intel's Skylake. Stay tuned to Game & Guide for more MacBook Pro 2016 news and updates.
