'Pokemon GO' Release Date, News & Update: Fans Will Have to Wait Longer for Nearby Tracking

One of this year's highly anticipated and massively successful mobile game releases was Niantic's "Pokemon GO." The game took the world by storm despite its obvious lack of necessary features to make the game easier and more fun to play. The bad news is that fans will have to wait longer for nearby tracking, a feature that was offered but promptly removed.

According to BGR, it seems that fans will have to wait longer for nearby tracking on "Pokemon GO" that fans may remember was already in the game when it launched. However, two weeks into the launch of the game, Niantic decided to pull out the feature because it needed to be fixed. It's been three months since they disabled the feature and fans are left wondering when it would be back.

In August, Niantic announced that they were testing a new version of the nearby tracking feature for "Pokemon GO." In fact, some players in the San Francisco area were able to test the game. The studio has been silent since then that means that fans will have to wait longer for nearby tracking to return to the game.

Polygon gave Niantic a nudge, but as per the studio, they are still working on the nearby tracking feature for "Pokemon GO" and that as of now, they do not have a release date in sight. Truly, it seems that fans will have to wait longer for nearby tracking.

Some "Pokemon GO" fans are hoping that Niantic brings back a brand new spanking nearby tracking feature just in time for the holidays to make hunting easier during the cold weather. In the meantime, fans are also anticipating the return of FastPokeMap, which grew popular but was soon taken offline.

The developers promised to bring it back online much to the relief of "Pokemon GO" gamers worldwide. Check back regularly to find out when FastPokeMap and the nearby feature will relaunch.
