Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is trying to prolong the spotlight on him after the short-lived fame on "Dancing with the Stars." Speculation suggests that Lochte is actually thinking of creating his own reality series together with his Playboy model fiancé Kayle Rae Reid. Now the big question though: Is there going to be an audience for this kind of reality series?
Ryan Lochte & Kayle Rae Reid Want To Stay On The Small Screen
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ryan Lochte admitted that the concept of beginning their own reality show - together with Kayle Rae Reid - has already been discussed several times. He added that the two of them are such goofballs, it would be entertaining to see it on TV. Given the chance that he'd be offered, he said that they would definitely do it.
"I think that would be a lot of fun," Ryan Lochte said to Nischelle Turner of ET. "Especially with us, if you see us when we're home, we're just a bunch of goofballs. It's a lot of entertainment, so we would definitely do it." The publication admitted that Lochte would do great in a reality show, his "DWTS" partner said she's sure about the wedding dance, though.
Will The Reality Series Succeed Though?
Meanwhile, Celeb Dirty Laundry pointed out that Ryan Lochte is used to the extravagant lifestyle, being a star athlete afforded him. However, with the Rio de Janerio scandal, he was left with vanishing endorsements after he lied about the robbery. The news publication emphasized that the Olympic athlete may just do anything just to hold on to the fortune.
While some publications expressed optimism toward the idea of Ryan Lochte's own reality show, many fans haven't forgiven him for his lying. In fact, many critics are still labeling him a disgrace to America and the Olympic team.
